For days, Attorney General Pam Bondi had talked about the release of the “Epstein Archives”, allegedly secret documents that the federal government has in some of the powerful men in the orbit of frustrated funding Jeffrey Epstein.
But the about 200 pages of the documents that Ms Bondi released on Thursday contained few new information showing offenses than anyone else by Mr Epstein, a registered sex drama who died in prison. The rejection of the document is largely composed of flight records for Mr Epstein’s planes – a long time made public – and contact details for hundreds of partners, along with brief descriptions of objects found in his homes.
The liberation was charged as a gesture that caused a new era of transparency at the Ministry of Justice. But the first edition of the documents (Ms Bondi was persecuted as “Breaking News” in a Fox News appearance on Wednesday night) seemed to be mostly political theater. The confusion of Daylong Rollout, even from some new conspiracy theories among some Trump supporters who see Epstein research as a fountain for other conspiracies.
On Thursday afternoon, Mrs Bondi and Kash Patel, director of the FBI, offered a preview of the documents to several conservative influences, some of whom came from the western wing that flutter white with the label “Estein” files “
But from Middleadonton, the Ministry of Justice had not published the content. And Ms Bondi criticized social media by those who had taken her in her speech last night. Glenn Beck’s conservative personality posted on X: “The Epstein files are a total joke”, and asked, “Who is undermining the potus?”
Mrs Bondi responded promises more documents to come. Later, he said that a “source” in the FBI office in New York had told her that the office was withheld “thousands” of previously unknown pages of Epstein -related documents and that she was determined to get them, according to a letter that her spokesman was provided to reporters.
The documents were released late on Thursday, along with a statement by Mr Patel who said: “If there are gaps, we will find them. If the files are hidden, we will reveal them.”
Still, some Republicans in Congress took to X to shout the dissatisfaction with the information published by Mrs Bondi.
“This is not what we asked the American people and a complete disappointment. Get us the information we asked!” He wrote Florida’s representative Anna Paulina Luna.
Mr Epstein, a college abandonment and the self-proclaimed economic Whiz, killed in August 2019-one month after his arrest for federal charges for sex trading.
Mr Epstein is believed to have sexual abuse of more than 200 teenage girls and young women over three decades. During this time, he gathered a $ 600 million fate and met some of the most powerful and famous people in the world.
Included in the documents, which were finally published on Thursday night, it was an entire list of 254 people described as a masseur.
Many of the names of Boldface associated with Mr Epstein came to light in 2015 for the first time, when Gawker published the so -called black book of names, numbers and addresses.
This directory includes the Retail tycoon Leslie Wexner, the private shareholder Leon Black, the co -founder of Microsoft Bill Gates and the Reid Hoffman business capital. All of these men said they were regretted with Mr Epstein.
It is also well known that President Trump, former President Bill Clinton, Prince Andrew of Britain and celebrities, including Kevin Spacey and Naomi Campbell, were friendly with Mr Epstein and some traveled to Mr Epstein’s private planes.
The most notable flight diary was a 118 -page document derived during the criminal trial of Ghislaine Maxwell, one of Mr Epstein’s long -term associates and a ex -girlfriend. He was convicted in 2021 on charges of helping Mr Epstein in the activities of sexual trafficking.
It was a time when he said a lot about Trump’s administration. The two most powerful law enforcement officials in the country, Mrs Bondi and Mr Patel, who are responsible for the supervision of vital national security and criminal investigations, have chosen to prioritize a long -term case to weaken the Conservatives and Conservatives. Ugly unfinished businesses.
For years, conspiracy theorists have believed that there was a large plot of the government to conceal not only the cause of Mr Epstein’s death but also the names of strong men who also abused some of the victims involved in teenage girls and women.
In media platforms, such as Fox News and Mr Trump’s service, Truth Social, has been a long time for a “Epstein Customer List” that describes in detail the names of men for whom Mr Epstein supplied women. But there has never been a reference to any “list of customers” in any of the urban differences that the victims exerted.
Before joining Trump’s administration, Ms Bondi fueled some of these speculations, speaking in interviews with the media about the government’s refusal to release Epstein documents.
The FBI also refused to release some documents requested by lawyers for victims and the media. In October, the FBI rejected a request for the freedom of information submitted by the New York Times seeking a list of all objects seized by federal agents when they searched Mr Epstein’s homes in New York and the American Virgin Mary.
The documents published by Mrs Bondi may include some descriptions of some of the data seized by federal agents. Under the title “List of evidence”, there are brief descriptions of objects such as “VHS movie”, “Folder containing 4 CDs” and “Photo depicting two girls”.
More than two dozen of Mr Epstein’s victims have joined a trial charged by the FBI with abuse of previous investigations of his activities and ignoring the complaints filed by the victims.
Jordan Merson, whose law firm is handling this lawsuit, said Ms Bondi had taken a good first step and hopes that this would “take seriously the pain of the victims” sued by the FBI
