A United Airlines flight from Houston to New York was evacuated on Sunday morning due to engine flames, a video shows.
Flight 1382 was to depart from George Bush Intercontinental Airport for Laguardia Airport shortly after 8:30 am, when the crew “was marked for an engine and stopped taking off while it was still in the hallway” United in a statement.
A video released on social media showed smoke and flames coming from one of the airplane engines, an Airbus A319.
All 104 passengers went safely on the plane on the runway using slides and stairs and had passed to a terminal, the airline said. There were no injuries.
Passengers were rescheduled for another flight on Sunday afternoon, the airline said.
Houston’s Fire Service said he did not respond to the fire. The Federal Aviation Service said it was investigating.
It was not the only issue of aviation for the surface on Sunday.
FAA said its primary system for sending real -time security notifications to the pilots was back on the internet after being reduced for several hours.
SEAN DUFFY Transport Secretary said late on Saturday that the notice is experiencing a “temporary break” and that FAA used a backup system to send security notifications.
The incidents came a few days after a passenger flight and an army helicopter collided over the Potomac River near Washington, DC, killing all 64 people on the plane and three helicopter crew members.
