Two Israeli soldiers were killed in a shot attack in the north of the West Bank of Israel on Tuesday, as Israel pressed ahead with a military operation that forced many people to leave their homes and cause wide disaster.
The attack came two days after the announcement of his campaign campaign to the east, which said he was targeting fighters and the Palestinians said they were one of the most serious in the West Bank for years.
Eight other soldiers were injured in the attack on Tuesday, including two in serious condition, the army said in a statement. The attacker, the army added, was later killed in a fire exchange.
It was not clear whether the attacker was a member of a fighter team or had acted on his own. But Islamic Jihad and Hamas, two groups that have grown up in power on the north western bank, called the “heroic” attack.
On Sunday, Avicay Adraee, a spokesman for the Arabic language for the Israeli army, posted a video with a controlled demolition at Jenin camp, a marginalized neighborhood where fighters had increased in numbers and complexity in recent years. Mr Adraee said that 23 buildings used by the fighters are aiming, among the largest controlled demolitions, Israel has been on the West Bank in recent years.
Israel began operating on January 21, two days after the ceasefire in the Gaza Strip came into force. The beginning of the business has focused on Jenin camp and has expanded to the cities of Tulkarm in the west and Tamun to the east.
It came after the Palestinian Authority backed by the West spent more than a month by carrying out its own operation against fighters in the Jenin area.
The clashes between the Palestinian Authority and the Fighters were devastating, leaving many dead, including six security, journalist and middle -aged officers. They also led to the displacement of thousands of and widespread water loss and power.
But the operation of Israel – one of the dozens in recent years – has been more detrimental.
In addition to housing demolitions, the Israeli army has deceived the roads to what he said was a tactic to reveal improvised explosive devices. The operation has killed 25 people in the wider Jenin area and has injured about 65 others, according to the Palestinian Authority’s health ministry, which does not distinguish between civilians and fighters.
On Sunday, the Israeli army said he had killed 35 fighters in several cities in the north west bank and arrested 100 wanted people.
