A Virginia man was charged with a second -degree murder after a deadly shot of a teenager who was shot for Tiktok known as “Ding Dong Ditch” with two friends around 3am. Saturday, according to court records and local authorities.
Spotsylvania’s sheriff’s office responded to a shooting report shooting in residents during a burglary and found two teenagers with shooting wounds, the office said in a statement. One of the teenagers, Michael Bosworth Jr., 18 years old, later died of his wounds. The second person was treated for minor injuries and a third person in the group had not been injured, said the sheriff’s office. The two friends with Mr Bosworth were both under 18 years old.
Teenagers were in the neighborhood to make a Tiktok video, one of them told investigators in an affidavit filed at the Circuit Court Spotsylvania. A “Ding Dong Ditch” farce includes rattles or knocking on the front doors of the houses before running away and has become popular feeding for social media.
“The young man informed that it is something people are doing to put Tiktok,” the affidavit said.
The team had knocked on some doors in the area, one of the teenagers said in a detective, adding that they were not familiar with the neighborhood. They ran away from a house when they were shot, according to the affidavit. At least one video showing that teenagers who make the farce were still on one of friends’ phones, the affidavit said.

Mr Bosworth was higher at Massaponax High School in Fredericksburg, VA. The Gymnasium, which is expected to keep his graduation for the elderly on May 13, sent a message to the school community that the advisers would be available to help students sad.

Ryan Mehaffey, a Commonwealth Lawyer for Spotsylvania County, refused to comment, but said a preliminary hearing was scheduled for June 18.
