Attorney General Pam Bondi on Tuesday described a recent attack on Tesla delegations across the country as “domestic terrorism” acts directed to Elon Musk, as Trump’s allies have pressured the justice ministry to take off.
In recent weeks, Vandals in the obvious protest of Mr Musk’s polarized efforts to drag the federal government and firefighters of government workers have destroyed or destroyed the Tesla vehicles and destroyed buildings. No serious injuries have been reported.
Five other vehicles at a Tesla facility in Las Vegas suffered damage on Tuesday at what local authorities said it was a targeted attack.
“The flock of violent attacks on Tesla’s ownership is nothing less than domestic terrorism,” Ms Bondi writes in a statement. “We will continue the investigations that impose serious consequences for those involved in these attacks, including those who work behind the scenes to coordinate and finance these crimes.”
There is no autonomous federal law on terrorism that includes sanctions, although it is defined in the federal statutes, so those accused of attacks will be accused by other federal laws. Mrs Bondi did not clarify which charges could be brought, but said that if convicted, some of these defendants could face penalties in prison at least five years.
Ms Bondi’s observations reiterated President Trump’s highlighting vandalism as terrorism. On Tuesday, he constantly suggested in a Fox interview that vandalism was paid for “by people very very politicians on the left”.
The Republicans of Congress, including Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greek in Georgia, they have pushed Mrs Bondi to call on such attacks domestic terrorism-after successfully resisting the Democratic efforts in 2022 to pass the legislation to face the rise of white defenders and other far-right groups.
Mrs Bondi supported Mr Trump’s massive leniency for hundreds of supporters who violently raped the US Capitol, including some who attacked police. The FBI described those involved in the planning and committing of this attack as “domestic violent extremists”, which they had previously identified in threats.
Several Tesla facilities have targeted the last several days.
On Monday, police arrested a 26-year-old woman with an anti-mush-spray messages on the front windows of a Tesla facility in Buffalo Grove, Ill., Friday. On the same day the Vandals broke the windows and broke a delegation in the San Diego area with swastika and slogans.
The FBI and the Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, which work with local police, are investigating Cybertrucks’ vandalism at a Tesla delegation in Kansas City, Mo. An unknown attacker shot over twelve shots at a Tesla dealership on Tigard, Ore. Last week, destroying some of the vehicles and storage windows.
