This week, Google has introduced a new way of searching, which could mean that googling, as we know, is on the way out. It’s called Mode AI and is essentially the company’s response to the growing number of people turning to AI chat bots instead of Google search.
We walk to what looks like this new product, who can use it and what could mean for the future of the internet. Then we are talking to New York Times Crypto journalist David Yaffe-Bellany about President Trump’s recent announcement of a national encryption reserve and why the news has upset some of the biggest encryption supporters. Finally, we react to voicemail from listeners describing the tools that have vibecoded.
